Togwotee Pass Backcountry Alliance Mission Statement

January 18, 2007

Togwotee Pass Backcountry Alliance’s mission is to create a shared space of balanced recreational use that is safe and free of conflict, envisioning future designations to maintain pristine backcountry opportunities. Non-motorized recreational user groups include nordic and backcountry skiers, snowboarders, and snowshoers who frequent Togwotee Pass on both the Bridger-Teton and Shoshone National forests.

For the 2010 season TPBA initiated community service projects in conjunction with the Forest Service with posting-maintaining signs on wilderness boundaries and high-use areas on Togwotee Pass (Breccia). If you are interested in volunteering this winter to maintain signs, please contact us at via email at jlprine@gmail.com
