For over eighty years skiers have been touring and turning on Togwotee Pass. Back in 2005, we formed this group to have a united voice for the preservation of backcountry skiing and snowboarding on Togwotee Pass. In particular, increased motorized use on the North face of Two Ocean Peak has become a hazard to skiers and splitboarders. Our purpose is to represent non-motorized winter recreation on Togwotee Pass for skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers, and others who enjoy the solitude of winter backcountry experiences.
Togwotee Pass Backcountry Alliance promotes : -A backcountry experience without the danger of 3rd party avalanches -A collaborative process between motorized and non-motorized users -Working directly with USFS officials to improve management practices for all winter recreationists.
